On the afternoon of Monday, March 25, Metropolitan Ignatios of Demetrias officiated the Vespers service.
In his speech, Metropolitan Ignatios highlighted how important is to feel free spiritually and be Christian Orthodox in our soul.
He said: “The main question remains. Are we truly independent today? Let us think it well, because we have to maintain our freedom, which is not only a question of borders, but also our spiritual freedom, our freedom in our soul. It is the freedom to be Orthodox and Greeks. Happy Independence Day and God bless you all.”
